In 2012, I was fortunate to lead a Rotary International Group Study Exchange Team to Maharashtra, India. Jim was an invaluable member of that team. His skilful and imaginative photography provided a superb record of the trip for the team members, our hosts and our Rotary sponsors. Jim created many evocative images of the numerous cultural highlights and the various humanitarian aid projects we witnessed during the four week trip. Jim has a great social conscience and a profound understanding of human nature. He empathises and builds rapport quickly with the people in his photographs and this shows in the intensity of expression that he is able to capture on their faces. I continue to watch his career evolve with great fascination and admiration.
